Meet Doug and Bev Croot's Family
Rachel Faith is our eldest daughter who was just 13 months old when we first arrived in PNG, early in 1970.She is married to Brad Middleton, who pastors a small country church at Mukinbudin, Western Australia, 300 km east of Perth. They have three children: James Bradley, Heidi-Anne Rachelle, and Chelsea Faith . They enjoy their ministry very much and are looking to the Lord to see some expansion in the church very soon. God is at work in lives.
Rhesa Joy is married to Robert (Bobby) Bagley, an aircraft engineer. They work with New Tribes Mission Aviation here in Papua New Guinea. They have four girls: Rhianah Joy, Raylea Jade, Robbie Jayelle, and Raiyah Jewell. Bobby has still a number of exams left to better qualify him as an engineer. Some of these are quite difficult and he needs to study quite a bit. This is in addition to working from 7 am to 5 pm. Pray for him as he studies, that he will have a clear mind to answer the questions during his exams. Rhesa is kept very busy teaching her two eldest children and caring for the younger two. Pray for her as she gets involved with the other women in the centre--she has started one Bible study already.
Renee Grace lives on the other side of the world from PNG. A young man, Bryan Morris, from Anchorage, Alaska, stole her heart while she was studying in the USA. They married and returned to Alaska. Renee gave birth to twins 15 weeks early on January 3, 2000. They were privileged to have both babies with them for seven weeks. Then, Hewitt Scanlan went to be with the Lord, and Keenan Alexander stayed on with Mum and Dad. He had quite a few struggles over the first year. He started crawling during his second year, and then walking, and he is now a thriving 2 year old who likes to be on the go all of the time. Thaddeus Hewett was born to Renee and Brian 3 months early. After a rough few first months, things are progressing more smoothly now as Thaddeus puts on more weight. Renee and Bryan are ministering as associates with NTM in Wewak, doing supply buying for the tribal missionaries. Renee loves to be involved in the work with Bryan. Also, just after arriving, she got the other ladies together for a Bible study, which she really enjoys. Pray for them as they interact with people. Also pray for them as they return to the USA in January. Bryan is contemplating further study, and is seeking just what the Lord would have him do.
Raewyn Peace, was born 28th March, 1980, and like her 4 sisters, graduated from the Numonohi Christian Academy, in Papua New Guinea, before returning to Australia. Around Christmas the year she returned to Australia, a young man, Curtis Gomes, visited our church and was love struck with her. He stole her heart away. He moved back to Alice Springs but Raewyn remained in Perth, where she worked awhile. They were then married on June 30, 2001. Raewyn and Curtis are living in Alice Springs now, the centre of Australia. Curtis is a Chef and finished his training just two years ago. They are hoping to move to the Brisbane area to find a position in a restaurant of different cuisine. He has worked Swiss, Indian and Chinese cuisine so far. They would like to find a friendly church on the east coast of Australia as well as a good job. Please pray for them.
Roxanne Hope arrived 4 weeks early, and so was born 12th Aug. 1981 in the Owininga. Doug had the privilege of delivering his little baby breech, and it seems she has done many things backwards ever since. Roxanne graduated in June 1999 and on returning to Australia, began a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in mathematics. She starts her final exams in June of this year and will then wait until February 2003 to commence her Diploma of Education. You can be a part of Doug and Bev's work. They can be helped by your prayers and interest and financial support if you are led to help in that way. It is a trying and stressful ministry at times and they would deeply appreciate your involvement in their lives. Their e-mail address is doug_croot@ntm.org New Tribes Mission address is 1000 E. First St., Sanford, FL 32771-1487.
