Pictures from 2005 trip

Following are four pictures of our trip into the Wana Outreach in the the "Kaju Morangka" area. We were able to land in this area twice on this trip. The assistant chief gave me a big hug when we arrived which is quite unusual for the Wana people. These folks are ripe for the gospel and we need to pray that the Lord would help our evangelists in this new work as they are now begging for our believers to live with them. At present our folks are building a house in which to live in while teaching there. We had a good time with them going over pre-evanglism questions pointing out the grass, trees, the sky, clouds, and God's creation asking them where they thought all that came from. They all agreed that they needed to give it some thought as man surely couldn't have made that. They asked me where the helicopter came from. I knew from past experience they were thinking it maybe came from heaven so I assurred them that man made it and it was not from heaven. They then asked where we white people were from. One of our pastors was trying to explain to the chief that the earth was round and that we lived on the other side. The chief then exclaimed, "Oh they live under the ground!" - I guess that was the only way he could imagine it. What a challenge lays before us with these people!
